So! its finally the big day! 🙂
its just 8:30 am and its already proven to be a great day! Hopefully nothing happens to spoil it. Celebrations started yesterday with the arrival of my ring and my new converse shoes. The ring was a huge deal especially because of all the FedEx issues. It is beautiful. Small, quaint and pretty! Babi was excited to see the ring too!
Today, woke up around 4:30 and did my mandatory checkin on FB for mummum and then read a few of the messages on the cap one whatsapp group. Yesterday i did get a feeling that the team was going to do something special because of all the secret giggling and IMs that i saw on DarChelle’s computer. So i lazed around at home to get to office a little late so that they could complete whatever they were planning and im not the first one to reach and ruin their plans. I was right! DarChelle got to work before me and they had gone all out to decorate the room and the hallway outside and my desk! DarChelle even got me two gifts! one is a desktop plaque and one basket full of goodies! The team plans to go out for lunch too! Today was our regular thursday OCM and they called me over to wish me and Mike B even asked about some cake. Apart from my team, Donna, Vasavi and 3 strangers wished me too because of all the signs the team put up! Its amazing! Feels really good to be surprised like this! After 3 very average birthdays, this one looks good!
To continue, after the OCM, Mike came in to our team room to once again, ask for cake. This gave away the team’s surprise for me. Kathy had got 4 types of cupcakes for me. this was meant to be for after lunch but since Mike gave it away, she then took them out and kept them on our snack table. Soon it was time for lunch and we went over to On the Border for mexican food. It definitely was quite delicious. After lunch came back to our room and enjoyed some cupcakes. There were plenty left over so we actually had them over the next couple of days. Soon it was time to go home. At home, there was a leak in the ceiling so some time was spent on getting the maintenance guy to come and do something about it. the rest of the day was mostly quiet with the usual netflix binge!
Friday was pretty good too just because of my excitement for the cake from Shobhit and my beloved apple watch from Babi! He was excited too. He was awake quite late and luckily i received the watch before he went off to sleep and so i opened the box while he was with me on facetime! i didn’t really have to set up the watch all that much! but i’m super excited about it and am still learning all there is to learn about it! so all of friday went in that excitement and so ended one of my all time best birthdays and certainly THE best birthday here in the US.
